It was my honor to offer a meditation at the memorial service for Dr. James A. Keller, held at First Presbyterian Church-Spartanburg, SC on September 9, 2016. The Chair of Philosophy at Wofford College for more than thirty years, Jim was beloved as a giving teacher, a steadfast colleague, and a friend.
A poignant reflection on Jim’s love of imagination and the power it offers us in this world, by his daughter, Pamela Bruner, may be found here.
A reflection by Jim on the resilience of the human spirit, from the last weeks of his life, may be found here.
Jim’s masterwork on process theology, Problems of Evil and the Power of God, may be found here.
The meditation offered at his memorial may be heard here:
May we choose what is best, as often as we can, this day
and forever.
